IRS office in Fargo to open on 2 SaturdaysThe Internal Revenue Service Taxpayer Assistance Center at 657 2nd Ave. N., Fargo, will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today and on Feb. 5 to assist taxpayers who may be eligible for the earned income tax credit and may not be able to seek assistance during the work week.
EITC is a refundable credit that can result in a refund of up to $5,666 for eligible taxpayers. Taxpayers with incomes of $48,362 or less may be eligible to claim this credit.
IRS personnel will be available to answer taxpayers’ questions, offer additional information about the EITC, provide publications about the credit and help prepare tax returns claiming the credit.
