Men's hockey: Colorado College jumps out to four-goal lead en route to win against UND

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado College took a four-goal lead after two periods and coasted to a 4-2 win over North Dakota in a Western Collegiate Hockey Association game on Friday.

The Tigers (15-11-1, 9-8-0) improved to 14-0-1 when leading after two periods. North Dakota (18-8-2, 13-6-0) is 2-3-0 in its last five games.

Fourth-ranked North Dakota missed an opportunity to move into first place in the WCHA. Conference leader Denver holds a one-point lead over the Sioux and is idle this week, as is Minnesota-Duluth, which is tied with North Dakota for second place.

Jason Gregoire scored both goals for the Sioux, including a breakaway short-handed goal with Colorado College on a 5-on-3 power play.
