Don’t legislate Sunday opening

Why is it that North Dakota laws still mandate that businesses here cannot open until noon on Sundays?

Are Fargo residents not grown up enough to make their own decision whether they will be attending church or going to West Acres? I assure you that anyone who doesn’t attend church service on Sunday isn’t doing so because the mall is open; they had no intention of going anyway. It is ridiculous to assume otherwise.

If we don’t want government running our lives (the battle cry of many here in North Dakota), then it shouldn’t be allowed to make laws that limit when we can spend our money.
