Rep. Berg’s health care vote disappointingMy disappointment in Rep. Rick Berg, R-N.D., knows no bounds, as a result of his vote to repeal the health care reform law. His vote was nothing more than partisanship at its purest; his vote achieved nothing more than empty symbolism.
I do not believe that he understands what it means to be a North Dakotan; I do not believe he shares the values of the average resident of our state.
Through this vain vote, he demonstrated that his allegiance is to the Republican Party, not the residents of North Dakota. He allied himself with the senselessness of the tea party and the carelessness of the conservatives in Congress over his fidelity to his constituents.
