Concordia events mark Martin Luther King Jr. Day today

Concordia College plans a series of events today to mark Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Keynote speaker Ta-Nehisi Coates will present “A Deeper Black: The Meaning of Race in the Age of Obama” at 10:30 a.m. in the Knutson Center Cen-trum. Coates is an author who specializes in black history and politics.

Minneapolis-based Mixed Blood Theatre presents “Dr. King’s Dream” at 1:20 p.m. in the Centrum. “Dr. King’s Dream” incorpo-rates his books, sermons and lectures and will be followed by a discussion.
