Sanford donates money for Sioux Falls scoreboard

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — A Dakotas-based health care system is continuing its sporting ways.

The Argus Leader reports that Sanford Health is donating $600,000 for a new scoreboard and sound system at Howard Wood Field, a football and track complex in Sioux Falls. Officials say the new panel will be equipped to show instant replays and other video.

Sanford had earlier pledged $10 million to help remodel a sports arena at North Dakota State University.

Sanford merged with Fargo-based MeritCare in 2009 to form the health system now known just as Sanford Health.
