Red River Basin Land, Water Conference setThe annual Red River Basin Land and Water International Summit Conference, “The Changing Face of Flooding,” will be Tuesday-Thursday at the Fargo Ramada Plaza and Suites.
Thomas Fisher, professor and dean of the College of Design at the University of Minnesota, will give the keynote address.
His talk, “Designing Resilient Communities,” will look at why the number of disastrous events have increased in recent decades and what can be done to reduce their impact. The National Weather Service will offer an updated spring flood forecast at the beginning of the conference.
