Closed Allcare Dental chain confirms it does business in 14 states

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — An attorney general investigating the abrupt shut down a national dental chain says the company has confirmed that it was doing business in 14 states, including in Fargo.

Attorneys general in numerous states have been investigating New York-based Allcare Dental and Dentures since it began closing offices around the country earlier this week. New Hampshire authorities arranged to have the offices there reopen on Thursday so patients could get their records, and Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette is creating a multistate task force to coordinate consumer complaints.

Schuette's office said Friday that Allcare has confirmed it had offices in 14 states: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, North Dakota, Nebraska, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
