Sheriff Paul Laney said the death was not the result of a gunshot wound.
Friedman’s vehicle was found near the Dakota Ag Cooperative Elevator, where his body was discovered by snow-removal workers on Monday.
Investigators had said they didn’t know why Friedman, of 509 29th Ave. N. in Fargo, was at the elevator.
