Thomas a perfect choice for Scrooge

Thank you for publishing the Dec. 29 Cal Thomas opinion piece titled “Liberal, lazy media laps it up.” The Thomas column serves as a reminder of what the Christmas season is all about.

Thomas warns us that the “lapdog big media” will characterize the Republican House as “insensitive, pro-rich, and even inhuman.” He follows with this prediction: “Characters are already in the wings, waiting for their moment on stage. These will include the elderly, the poor, the homeless and other ‘victims’ who make up much of the Democratic base.”

Speaking of being on stage, I would suggest casting Thomas in a remake of “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens. Cal Thomas could play Scrooge with little or no rehearsal.
