Snowmobiler injured in crash near Leonard

LEONARD, N.D. – A 56-year-old Davenport man was injured Sunday in a snowmobile accident, the second in three days near Leonard.

Emergency responders were called to the crash around 10:35 a.m. northeast of Leonard after Dallas Glasow struck his head on his snowmobile’s windshield as he crossed an approach, said Cpl. Dean Haaland of the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

Glasow was transported by ambulance to Essentia Health in Fargo with non-life-threatening injuries, Haaland said.

The crash remains under investigation by the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

Two snowmobilers were injured Friday morning when separate sleds went airborne after striking a drainage ditch about eight miles southwest of Leonard.

The identities of the snowmobilers in that crash had not yet been released. A message left Sunday with the Ransom County Sheriff’s Office was not immediately returned.
