Area New Year’s Eve happeningsChristmas has barely passed, but it’s already time to solidify plans for New Year’s Eve on Friday.
You don’t have to make a big splash to ring in 2011, but here are a few local places that have events planned.
New Year’s at Noon, 9:30 a.m., Fargo Theatre, 314 Broadway. Early celebration starts with Lance Johnson playing the Mighty Wurlitzer, followed by a 10 a.m. screening of “Happy Feet.” At 11:55 a.m., host Doug Hamilton starts a countdown, followed by performance of FM Kicks Big Band and a 1 p.m. screening of “Happy Feet.” $5. New Year’s Musical Revue, 5:30 and 8:30 p.m., Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre, 333 4th St. S., Fargo. An evening of musical theater for all ages with favorite musical selections spanning Broadway’s history. Tickets $5-$14, (701) 235-6778.
