Local United Way tops 80 percent of 2010 goalThe United Way of Cass-Clay has topped the 80 percent mark for its 2010 goal, the organization announced today.
The local United Way has raised just more than $4 million of its $5 million goal for the year, a news release said.
The release said United Way of Cass-Clay supports 42 non-profit agencies and 66 programs.
Also, according to the news release:
The organization is aiming to wrap up its $5 million annual campaign by January.
Last year, United Way of Cass-Clay achieved the 2009 campaign goal of $4.875 million by raising a total of $ 4,876,983. This was a 3.72 percent increase over the dollars raised in 2008.
More than 13,500 individuals contributed financially to United Way of Cass-Clay last year.Donations to the United Way of Cass-Clay may be made through payroll deduction at many local businesses, on-line at www.unitedwaycassclay.org, by mail, or by calling (701) 237-5050.
