Moorhead stabbing suspect arrested
U.S. Marshals from North Dakota and South Dakota arrested Perry Terrance Paul, 36, at a home after tips suggested he could be found in southwestern Minnesota.
Browns Valley is on the Minnesota/South Dakota border about 100 miles south of Fargo.
Paul was avoiding capture after he walked away from Centre Inc. in Fargo on Aug. 23. He had been ordered to stay at Centre Inc. after serving a 14-month sentence in a federal prison for a December 2009 conviction of a probation violation.
Paul was also the suspect in the October stabbing of a West Fargo man in Moorhead.
The 34-year-old male victim told police he had been stabbed at 505 32nd Ave. S. in Moorhead. The injuries were not life-threatening, police said at the time.
At about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, a regional SWAT team entered the house with the belief Paul could be armed with a firearm.
Paul and several other people were found inside the home. Two people were found to be wanted on outstanding warrants from South Dakota and Minnesota.
Paul is expected to be charged with escape, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
