NDSU graduation set Friday at Fargodome

North Dakota State University will hold winter commencement at 4 p.m. Friday in the Fargodome.

A total of 688 undergraduate, graduate and professional students are eligible to participate in the ceremony. More than 450 students plan to march in the ceremony.

NDSU Student Body President Kevin Black will speak as the class representative. Black, of Grand Forks, will receive a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and management.

Anthony Peterson, also from Grand Forks, will be the student soloist. Peterson will receive a bachelor’s degree in vocal music education.

NDSU will award an honorary doctorate degree to 1977 graduate Barry Batcheller, an area business leader who most recently founded Appareo Systems.

In addition, the oath of office will be administered to four students who have been active in either the Army or Air Force Reserve Officers’ Training Corps.
