Two small fires in Fargo cause little damage

Two small fires kept the Fargo Fire Department busy Tuesday night, but neither caused much damage.

The first fire broke out at 5 p.m. Tuesday at 1745 N. University in a kitchen garbage can. The cause of the fire was not yet determined as of press time, but smoking materials were involved. The fire caused about $500 in damage.

The second fire occurred about 8:30 p.m. at 3302 36th St. S at a Luther auto dealership in Fargo. A waste oil heater started on fire. The fire officer on scene was not able to contact someone from the building but estimated about $500 in damage.
