Hunter bar latest victim in Cass burglary stringHUNTER, N.D. – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary at the Hunter bar, bringing the total number of burglarized businesses to at least four in the past 10 days, Chief Deputy Jim Thoreson said.
Someone gained access to the C & I bar at 205 Main St. by breaking a back-door window and undoing the deadbolt, Thoreson said.
Nothing was taken from the bar, and authorities aren’t sure when the burglary happened, he said. It was reported at 9:18 p.m. Wednesday, and the bar employee who reported it believed it happened between 3 and 9 p.m., he said.
Someone also attempted to break into Hunter Equipment by breaking a window, but apparently couldn’t reach the lock, Thoreson said.
Authorities believe the same person or persons are responsible for those incidents and burglaries reported in Embden, Hickson and Leonard in the past 10 days, Thoreson said.
