Weekend Watch: The Blenders/Mannheim Steamroller/‘Handel’s Messiah’
The calendar is stuffed with holiday music this weekend. Starting at 7:30 tonight through Sunday (with a 2 p.m. Sunday matinee), Fargo’s hometown vocalists The Blenders return for the group’s annual Christmas shows at the Fargo Theatre, 314 Broadway. Tickets are $35, though Friday, Saturday and Sunday’s matinee shows are sold out. (701) 235-4152. Or go classical and catch North Dakota State University’s Concert Choir and Baroque Festival Orchestra’s production of “Handel’s Messiah” at 2 p.m. Sunday at Festival Concert Hall. And for something even more different, you could hear classical music with a twist by Mannheim Steamroller at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Gate City Bank Theater at the Fargodome, 1800 N. University Drive.
