Corps won’t charge day fees at BaldhillVALLEY CITY, N.D. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, will no longer charge day-use fees to use its boat ramps at its Baldhill Dam/Lake Ashtabula project near Valley City.
The policy change is being made to provide consistent services throughout the state, according to a news release from the corps. No other corps park in North Dakota charges day-use fees. Collection of the $3 fee has not been cost-effective because it costs more to collect the fee than what was generated in revenue.
