Seven Fargo businesses fail alcohol compliance checksFARGO Seven of 98 businesses failed alcohol compliance checks conducted Thursday by authorities in Cass and Clay counties with the assistance of the Safe Communities Coalition.
Of the randomly checked establishments, those in Fargo that failed were Granite City Food & Brewery, Hu Hot Mongolian Grill, Kobe Japanese Cuisine, Mexican Village at 3155 45th St. S., The Northern, Space Aliens Grill and Bar and Village West Liquors, according to a news release.
Establishments in Fargo that fail the checks for the first time in a one-year period are automatically placed on probation for a year and assessed an administrative penalty of $500. However, the penalty may be waived if the server and management have current server training certification.
Another failure within a year results in an automatic $750 penalty.
