Man hurt in car-train crash in NorthwoodA man was injured in a car-train collision Thursday evening in Northwood, N.D.
According to Police Chief Stan Baker, a Northwood man, driving east on Washington Avenue – the main east-west street downtown – collided with a northbound, slow-moving freight train of “just a few cars,” about 7:30 p.m.
The man, whose name wasn’t released pending notification of relatives, was taken by ambulance to Northwood Deaconess Health Center. The man was alone in the car.
The train didn't appear to be damaged and remained on the tracks, Baker said.
