Guns stolen from home as owner fixes pipes

West Fargo police are investigating a reported burglary Wednesday in which five firearms were stolen from a trailer while its owner worked on pipes underneath the home.

The homeowner was working underneath the trailer from about 7 to 10 p.m., and his roommate was inside the trailer taking a nap for part of that time, Assistant Police Chief Mike Reitan said.

Both said they didn’t hear anyone enter the trailer, Reitan said.

Two rifles, two shotguns and a .22-caliber pistol were stolen, he said.

The burglary was reported at 10:32 p.m. in the 1300 block of Sandstone Drive. There was no forced entry, and the door was unlocked for most of the day, according to comments on the dispatch log.

Police have no suspects, Reitan said.
