Man hurt in car-train crash in NorthwoodNORTHWOOD, N.D. - A man was injured in a car-train collision Thursday night in Northwood.
According to Police Chief Stan Baker, a Northwood man driving east on Washington Avenue collided with a northbound, slow-moving freight train of “just a few cars,” about 7:30 p.m.
The man, whose name wasn’t released pending notification of relatives, was taken by ambulance to Northwood Deaconess Health Center.
“He was talking to people,” Baker said. “But I don’t know the extent of his injuries.”
The man was alone in the car.
The train remained on the tracks, Baker said.
