Cab driver robbed at gunpoint in FargoFARGO – Three men reportedly robbed an on-duty cab driver at gunpoint Wednesday evening in south Fargo.
Police responded to the incident at about 6 p.m. in the 3300 block of 31st Avenue South.
The victim, a 30-year-old male cabbie from Moorhead, had picked up three men on the west side of The Bowler and was told to take them to 33rd Street South and 31st Avenue South, Sgt. Mark Lykken said.
When they reached their destination, two of the suspects pulled out guns and pointed them at the cabbie, demanding money. They took the cabbie’s cell phone and broke it and stole money from his wallet, Lykken said.
The suspects were described as “darker-skinned” males, all taller than 5 feet 7 inches and very thin with no facial hair or glasses. A description of the guns wasn’t available, Lykken said.
