Concordia, U of Mary cancel classes for Wednesday; tonight's Symphonia Concert canceled

Concordia College in Moorhead and the University of Mary, both the Fargo and Bismarck campuses, have canceled classes Wednesday due to the approaching winter weather.

Concordia also canceled its Symphonia Concert scheduled for tonight. In a news release, Concordia said the decision would allow students to travel home for Thanksgiving.

The University of Mary said in a news release that all classes, except for online courses, are canceled after 5 today and all day Wednesday.

Mary's campus and building will remain open and operations will continue as normal, though.

"The impending inclement weather will create unsafe driving conditions for the many students who plan to travel for Thanksgiving," a university news release said.

If weather forces the closure of buildings and normal operations, notifications will be sent by email and emergency texts. The change will also be reflected on the web site.
