Woman gets probation in Gilby bank robberyGRAND FORKS – A woman accused of buying a shotgun that was used in a bank robbery in the northeast North Dakota town of Gilby has been sentenced to probation.
U.S. District Judge Ralph Erickson ruled that Debra Jensen has “diminished capacities” because of a brain injury she suffered in a 1995 car crash and was easy to manipulate.
The 49-year-old Grand Forks woman pleaded guilty in August to making a false statement while buying the gun. Erickson ordered her to serve three years of probation.
