Farm accident sends Wadena, Minn., man to hospital with severely injured legOTTERTAIL, Minn. – A 21-year-old Wadena, Minn. man severely injured his leg in a farming accident Friday morning.
The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Custom Fleshing, a company near the city of Ottertail around 9:30 a.m.
Ottertail is about 80 miles southeast of Fargo.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, witnesses said Perry Gingerich was loading a grinding machine with scrap food materials when he lost his footing and fell into the grinding machine.
Gingerich was stabilized at the scene and transported to Perham Memorial Hospital for surgery.
Hospital representative did not release Gingerich’s condition, Friday afternoon.
