Fargo police write up 83 more citations, including 61 for speedingFARGO – Fargo police officers issued 83 citations on Thursday, including 61 speeding violations and 15 seat-belt violations, as part of a 10-day traffic safety blitz.
Officers primarily worked in the 1700 block of 42nd Street South, and also in the 3300 block of 17th Avenue South.
Police have conducted four traffic safety blitzes and written a total of 262 citations this week that included 42 seat-belt violations.
The traffic blitz is paid for in part by a grant from the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) as part of the "Click It or Ticket" campaign and runs through Saturday.
There will be another traffic safety blitz from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday on 17th Avenue South near Fargo South High School and Ninth Avenue South between 42nd and 45th streets.
