41 citations issued during Fargo blitzForty-one citations were issued from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday during a Fargo Police Department traffic-safety blitz in the 3000 block of 12th Avenue North. Nine of the citations were seat-belt violations.
The traffic blitz, which was announced on Friday, was paid for in part by a grant from the North Dakota Department of Transportation as part of the Click It or Ticket campaign, which is Nov. 11-20.
There will be another traffic-safety blitz today in the 3100 block of Main Avenue. Officers will use speed violations as the reason for the traffic stop, with enforcement focusing on speed, seat-belt and child-restraint violations.
