Two arrested for DUI at Fargo checkpointTwo drivers were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol at a Fargo Police sobriety checkpoint late Friday and early Saturday.
Of 118 vehicles stopped in the 1400 block of Broadway, 11 drivers were flagged for further testing. Two people were cited for DUI, another was cited for driving under suspension, and a passenger was cited for minor in possession of alcohol.
The checkpoint began at 11:45 p.m. and ended at 2:18 a.m. Drivers were given pamphlets about the consequences of driving under the influence and why checkpoints were conducted. It was the 48th sobriety checkpoint Fargo police have conducted since October 2004.
