Woman sued over fatal Benson County crashMINNEWAUKAN, N.D. – A 93-year-old Oberon woman who authorities say hit two motorcycles with her car and killed a woman is being sued by the two riders who survived the crash.
An attorney for James Leidholt and Jason Hunter, whose foot had to be amputated, alleges that Faith Mitzel’s negligence in May caused the crash that injured his clients and killed Leidholt’s 30-year-old wife, Sheri, and the couple’s unborn child.
The Grand Forks Herald reported that the lawsuit seeks $200,000 in damages.

Mitzel was fined $20 for driving on the wrong side of the road but not criminally charged in the crash. She faces a Nov. 30 trial for allegedly driving without insurance or a license in August.
