December Sustainable U scheduled for BismarckExperienced farmers will be on hand to discuss livestock, crops and gardens at FARRMS’ Sustainable U from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 4, at the Radisson Hotel in Bismarck.
Three education tracks feature topics of interest for anyone interested in sustainable agriculture, organic production and growing vegetables. Participants can pick and choose from classes in pasture rejuvenation, cover crops, winter bale grazing, season extension, no-till organics, composting, seed saving, mulching, marketing and more.
After a day of networking and learning, Chuck Suchy will entertain banquet guests. A silent auction and social round out the evening affair.
Preregistration tickets to the event can be purchased until Nov. 19. Family discounts are available.
