Women's hockey: Sioux skate to tie, lose shootout to Ohio State

GRAND FORKS – The No. 7-ranked University of North Dakota skated to a Western Collegiate Hockey Association 2-2 tie and shootout loss to No. 9 Ohio State in women’s hockey on Sunday at Ralph Engelstad Arena before 602 fans.

Both teams received one point in the WCHA standings with an additional point going to Ohio State for the shootout win.

Allison Parizek and Jordan Slavin scored for the Sioux (6-3-1, 5-2-1-0 WCHA).

FIRST PERIOD: 1, UND, Parizek (Slavin, Furia), 9:15.

SECOND PERIOD: 2, OSU, Mancuso (Boskovich, Wild), 12:27.

THIRD PERIOD: 3, OSU, Reilly (Wild, McIntosh), 14:07. 4, UND, Slavin (Loken, Berg), 18:42.

OVERTIME: No scoring.
