Around the water cooler: Bison defeat Southern IllinoisFour things we’re talking about after North Dakota State’s 20-6 win over Southern Illinois on Saturday:
Defense rests its case
On Saturday, it did against the Salukis, holding them to just two field goals behind a fierce pass rush.
The 12,834 was the lowest attendance since 2005 against Northern Colorado when 10,809 saw the Bison win 44-0.
Blame it on the deer
NDSU athletic director Gene Taylor said he may review starting times and TV telecast on deer opening weekend.
Numbers don’t lie
NDSU offense ranks last in the conference in both red zone efficiency and third-down conversions. Saturday was Example A.
