Rep. Mark Dosch, Published October 31 2010
Berg a champion of ND businessesI had the distinct privilege of serving with Rep. Rick Berg, R-Fargo, during the past legislative session on the Appropriations Committee, and I can’t say enough as to how impressed I was with his leadership and knowledge of the issues.
Being a North Dakota-grown businessman, Berg understands what it takes to run a successful business, what it takes to create jobs and the importance of limited government. Berg was always thinking of new policies to grow the North Dakota economy that were business-friendly, as he understood that it is business that creates jobs and not the government.
Berg clearly understood the importance of prudence in spending, establishing reserves for tough times and, most importantly, to give back to the taxpayers money that was not needed, rather than expanding government.
We all have a decision to make Tuesday. We can keep the status quo and continue to watch this great nation “fundamentally change” into a socialistic country, or we can stand up now and send new leadership to Washington who understand the fundamentals of capitalism, who act responsibly, believe in limited government and, yes, even believe that we are a Christian nation.
We need to take back our America by voting for Berg and John Hoeven, two proven, common-sense leaders.
Dosch, R-Bismarck, represents District 32 in the North Dakota House of Representatives.
