An honest legislator for HouseI’ve known Rick Berg for more than 30 years. This relationship has allowed me to fully appreciate Berg’s unwavering character, uncompromising honesty and, most importantly, his unique problem-solving skills, which have collectively developed his legislative craft and defined his character.
What I also have witnessed is that Berg is a dedicated, hardworking and well-studied lawmaker with an innate talent for quality critical thinking. Berg goes to great lengths to understand the issue(s) from both sides before taking a position.
Most importantly, he remains loyal to his positions and the constituents he serves, embracing their cause even if it means suiting up and fighting an unpopular battle.
Finally, we have all witnessed and benefited from Berg’s proven leadership in North Dakota. He is truly an experienced legislative leader engaged in the process with a proven record of navigating the challenges of our state’s business climate through the political hurdles and delivering outstanding results.
In our broken nation’s capital, what we truly need now, more than anything, is solid business backgrounds with proven leadership.
I will support Berg for U.S. Congress on Tuesday because, like most of you, I recognize we have “enough followers in Washington.” We need to fix Washington now and change the course of our country.
North Dakota is a great state and made up of good people. Shouldn’t we send our “very best talent” to Washington on Tuesday?
Berg, a proven leader, will make us all proud.
