Just where are the 40,000 jobs?

I have listened to so many political ads that I really started to think about what was being said. Take the ads that said 40,000 jobs have been created in North Dakota.

Nobody can claim credit for the thousand or more jobs in the oil field. Oil workers have always followed the oil rigs for many years.

The repairs to the highways, bridges and other items are paid for by federal money. The buildings and jobs in the tech and research centers at the colleges were paid for with federal funds.

Where are the 40,000 jobs?
