Police: Bloomington man found in fatalityBLOOMINGTON, Minn. – A 54-year-old Bloomington man has turned himself in for hitting an elderly woman with his truck and then driving off.
The man is accused of killing 85-year-old Dorothy Hanson on Oct. 21 as she was walking home from having dinner with her husband at a nearby care facility.
Bloomington Police Commander Jim Ryan says the man provided a DNA sample and turned over his cell phone. Ryan says the suspect may have been drinking before the accident.
Officials say he turned himself in Friday afternoon after an arrest warrant was issued. Police say he won’t be booked until charges are filed in the case.
