Cross country: Bison men, women both take 3rd at Summit Championships

CARMEL, Ind. – The men’s and women’s cross county teams from North Dakota State both finished in third place at the Summit League Championships on Saturday.

NDSU junior Tyler Leverington finished in eighth place with a time of 25 minutes, 19.8 seconds for the men, who amassed 77 points as a team.

The Bison women totaled 80 points behind freshman Heidi Peterson’s ninth-place finish.

Peterson was named the meet’s top newcomer and also earned second team All-Summit League honors.
