University of Minnesota to offer master gardener courseThe University of Minnesota will offer Master Gardener Program courses online Jan. 10 through May 6.
The goal of the program is to train volunteers to help others in their communities with horticulture.
To become a master gardener, participants must submit an application to their county extension office. Upon completion of the courses, participants must complete an internship of 50 hours the first year, which involves working on volunteer projects approved by the county master gardner coordinator.
The cost for the online courses is $250. The courses are also available to those who are not interested in becoming a Master Gardener for a fee of $550.
