The Department of Public Safety says there have been 335 fatalities to date, compared to 334 at this time last year.
The numbers were released Monday as more than 700 traffic safety advocates gather in St. Paul for the seventh annual conference called "Toward Zero Deaths." Participants include educators, first responders, engineers, and law enforcement officers.
The conference is focusing on ways to reduce traffic related deaths and injuries.
