One lane of 32nd Avenue South at 36th Street in Fargo closedFARGO – One eastbound lane on 32nd Avenue South at 36th Street in Fargo was closed this morning to allow for the construction of a right-turn lane at 36th Street.
The lane closure is expected to be in effect for up to four days. It is expected to have a major impact on eastbound traffic, and drivers are advised to find alternate routes during morning and evening rush hours.
The addition of this eastbound right-turn lane is the last part of the city’s improvement plan along 32nd Avenue South between 36th Street and 39th Street to add capacity in the eastbound direction.
Earlier this summer, crews created a third eastbound lane between 39th Street and Interstate 29 by extending existing right-turn lanes between intersections and turning them into shared through/right turn lanes.
