Teen's relatives struggle to comprehend murder-suicideSTILLWATER, Minn. (AP) — Family members of a young teen who authorities say was killed by a classmate say they don't know what might have prompted the crime.
Washington County sheriff's officials say 14-year-old Jacob Zachary Campbell fatally shot 15-year-old Lisa Marie Grijalva (grih-HALL'-vah) before killing himself. Their bodies were found Tuesday night in a park about 25 miles east of Minneapolis. The teens were ninth-graders at Oak-Land Junior High in Lake Elmo.
Grijalva's cousin, Angela Hoops, says the family has many unanswered questions about the murder-suicide.
Sheriff Bill Hutton says it will take some time to examine text messages, Facebook postings and other clues the teens might have left behind.
KARE-TV reports Grijalva's memorial service will be held Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Oakdale.
