Lidgerwood man killed in motorcycle accident

LIDGERWOOD – A 24-year-old man was killed when his motorcycle left a highway and entered a ditch, turning over on its side, the North Dakota Highway Patrol said Sunday.

The victim is identified as Andrew Dunn of Lidgerwood, who was alone on his motorcycle when the accident happened after 4 a.m. Sunday morning on Highway 11 about three miles west of Lidgerwood.

Dunn, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the motorcycle, Sgt. David Wolf said in his report of the accident.

The crash remains under investigation by the highway patrol.
