Women's hockey: Sioux sweep Gophers for first time everMINNEAPOLIS – Sara Dagenais scored the tie-breaking goal in the first period as North Dakota skated past Minnesota with a 3-1 win in women’s Western Collegiate Hockey Association play on Saturday.
Dagenais added a power-play goal in the third period while Monique Lamoureux-Kolls scored for the Sioux (4-2-0, 3-1-0 WCHA) in the first period.
With the win, North Dakota swept Minnesota for the first time in school history.
Kelly Terry scored the lone goal for Minnesota (3-2-0, 0-2-0 WCHA).
