Realtors sought to sell Fargo School District properties

The Fargo School District will be accepting proposals from Realtors to sell Woodrow Wilson School and 50 acres of land north of Davies High School.

The School Board voted 7-0 on Tuesday to start a process to pick one or two Realtors to sell the properties.

Board President Jim Johnson said the board had no need for the land along 25th Street South by Davies, and had waited for zoning issues to be resolved before selling.

The district had tried to sell Woodrow Wilson by itself, but was unsuccessful, Johnson said. Since the programs in Woodrow Wilson will be moved to the former Agassiz Middle School next fall, he said the old building on the west side of downtown will have no use to the district.

Information will be sent to two Realtors who already contacted the district, and to the Fargo Moorhead Area Association of Realtors, Business Manager Broc Lietz said. Ads will also be taken out in local newspapers, he and Johnson said.

Information can be obtained from Broc Lietz, business manager, Fargo Public Schools, 415 North 4th St., Fargo, ND 58102.
