North Dakota delegation plans rallies for candidatesGearing up for Election Day, North Dakota’s top Democrats will tour the state today and Thursday for a series of campaign rallies.
Leading the charge is the state’s longtime congressional trio who call themselves “Team North Dakota” – Sens. Kent Conrad and Byron Dorgan and Rep. Earl Pomeroy.
Pomeroy is the only one of the three men facing re-election in November, and he has the formal endorsement of both Dorgan and Conrad.
Dorgan is retiring this year, and Conrad is up for re-election in 2012.
Today, the delegation will stop in West Fargo at 10 a.m. at the VFW, and in Valley City, Jamestown and Bismarck. The tour will wrap up Thursday with rallies in Minot and Grand Forks.
