Mock’s disdain disqualifies himIf there is any candidate North Dakota cannot afford to elect this fall, it is Rep. Corey Mock, the Democrat running for secretary of state.
After reading a letter in The Forum on Tuesday, Oct. 6, describing some controversial writings from Mock, I decided to do my own research.
In the article, printed in the Dakota Student when Mock was a student there three years ago, he argues that people who believe in God are fooling themselves and fail to question their own beliefs. His tone is insulting and offensive. He treats the religious like blind sheep.
By implication, Mock seems to look down on the voters of this state, many of whom are religious. If Mock is going to treat North Dakotans’ deepest beliefs with such scorn, he certainly does not deserve their vote on Election Day.
