Authorities search for wife in suspicious deathREMER, Minn. (AP) — Authorities are looking for the wife of a northcentral Minnesota man found dead in his home last weekend.
Cass County Sheriff Randy Fisher said Tuesday preliminary autopsy results show 64-year-old Wendall Abraham died of traumatic chest injuries. Fisher says Abraham's body was found in his rural Remer (home on Oct. 9.
Fisher says his department is asking for help in locating 60-year-old Helene Mitchell-Abraham. The sheriff says she's a "person of interest" in the "suspicious death" of her husband.
Fisher says a citizen spotted her silver-colored Dodge van in the Mankato area on Sunday evening, but that's the last information on her whereabouts.
The sheriff says Mitchell-Abraham lived part-time in Garrison. He says she's believed to be driving a van with the Minnesota license plate 689BUL.
