Churchs Ferry couple accused of growing potDEVILS LAKE, N.D. – A Churchs Ferry couple is accused of having between 50 and 60 marijuana plants on their property.
KZZY reported that Donna Eli appeared in court Monday in Devils Lake and asked for a preliminary hearing. It was not immediately scheduled.
Eli is charged with possessing marijuana with the intent to manufacture the drug. Her husband, Philip Eli, is due in court next week on the same felony charge as well as a misdemeanor paraphernalia charge.
Ramsey County Sheriff Steve Nelson estimated the street value of the alleged marijuana at about $25,000.
